JS Income Fund
JS-Income Fund offers a diversified investment program in fixed income securities that are generally not affected by the volatility of the equity markets. The fund aims to achieve a high rate of current income consistent with reasonable concern for safety of capital and provides the investors the convenience to join or leave the fund at their discretion.
JS-IF invests in assets that pay a fixed rupee amount, e.g. investment grade debt securities, treasury bills, term finance certificates, bank deposits and Government bonds. They are generally not affected by the volatility at the Stock Exchanges. The element of risk is low and the rate of return, while steady, is lower than more risky investments.
The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency (PACRA) has assigned A+(f) rating to JS-Income Fund (JS-IF), which reflects a consistently above average performance relative to its peers in its stability class. The rating is a composite measure of fund’s exposure to credit risk, liquidity risk, and interest rate risk.
JS-Income Fund (JS-IF) is the second open-end mutual fund launched by JS Investments Limited (formerly JS ABAMCO Limited) in 2002. The trustee of the fund has subsequently been changed to The Central Depository Company (CDC) of Pakistan Limited, but it is managed by JS Investments Limited. Units have par value of Rs.100.
The JS-IF fund follows a fixed income investment strategy, with a primary focus on maintaining a stable stream of income while keeping the initial investment as secure as possible. The fund invests in a portfolio of fixed income securities including:
- Investment Grade Debt Securities
- Government Securities
- Money Market Instruments
- Continuous Funding System (CFS)
